I am extremely disappointed that SENA could not fix my problem. I own 2 SENA 20s units, and several members of the Motorcycle Amateur Radio Club of which I am the president of also use your units. The attitude of "we do not have parts, just buy a new unit"is not good business. So, in my next month's newsletter under the President"s Message, I will share with all of the motorcycle community your lack of willingness to just send me a dial and fix the problem. www.marc-hq.org is where you will find my unfavorable review. Sincerely, Mark Kanzler, president of MARC, ke6zrp

Will this do any good?  Probably not, but it is a notice to anyone thinking of using SENA.  There are other brands, and the MIGHT have better service.

Monthly net

Mark Kanzler

Hello to all MARC members.  Just a reminder that our monthly MARC net will be held tomorrow night, 7:15 pm Pacific time on the PAP analog repeater system.
Please join us for this net.  You can go to PAPASYS.COM     and look up the analog repeaters near you.  Most are linked, but they will show linked or not linked.  You can also use DMR using the PAPA bridge channel.  Echolink system also works, just search for *papa*. (that is star papa star)

See you then

I also asked about this in Min's Google group.

I installed a VGC VR-N7500 on my bike. Works great! I mounted it inside an aluminum box, but I still get a clear signal to my Sena headset, and reliable operation of the VGC Bluetooth PTT button strapped to the left grip. My Sena 50S recognizes it as a "Media" device. When Sena's FM commercial radio receiver is on, it automatically switches to the ham radio when there's any traffic, and switches back when the ham radio goes quiet. It's supposed to send position reports via APRS, but I haven't figured out how to turn that on yet.
